Fine Finishing Wood Techniques:

Our artisans meticulously sand the surface and profiles of the wood for even absorption of our hand- stained finishes. We repeat the process of hand sanding, staining and varnishing to create a smooth surface with consistent color for a sleek and contemporary look.

We use top-quality stains, sealers and topcoats that are comply with national emissions standards to enhance the natural beauty and character of the wood grain, while being conscious of both the environment and the longevity of your finish. We have access to over 1,000 basic color samples for you to choose from. Mixed with our expert ability to combine and layer hues and techniques, any color or finish can be produced or matched. We stay on the cutting edge by researching new products and procedures, and paying attention to global design trends ensuring our ability to produce whatever our client can imagine.

Glaze is a semi-transparent tint that can be hand brushed, sprayed or wiped on to wood surfaces for added depth and dimension. Glaze can be carefully hand sprayed for a unique gradient effect. When hand applied and then wiped, glaze remains mostly along profiles and in corners creating a shadow effect. It can also be wire-brushed as highlights accentuating the natural wood grain or wiped gently to remain in gauges and cracks if Old World is the desired style. Dry-brushing accentuates the hand brushed strokes popular in shabby-chic and coastal designs.

Glaze can also be meticulously applied with a needle or small brush as an accent along corners and edges for a modern, yet traditional look, or to highlight carved accents or frieze moldings for a truly vintage motif. Special Effects can also be added to your finish, such as metallic shimmer or pearl iridescence which creates a wave of sparkle when illuminated.
